Fairshare International provides funding and support for projects that provide food, shelter, protection from violence and abuse, health education, schooling and professional training or studies for children in communities in areas of Brazil where these basics that we take for granted seem impossible to achieve without outside help. In our selection of projects to be funded, we find sustainability very important. Our mission is “rather than give the hungry man a fish, teach him how to fish”. In other words, we want to help people help themselves.
